I have been using the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper shampoo and conditioner for about two weeks now and I have to say that this has quickly become my favourite brand and range. My hair hasn’t felt this silky soft and looked so shiny in a long time. The Visibly Deeper Range has a beautiful glossy deep brown packaging, you can always tell the difference of each range by looking at the colour of the packaging.
I’m naturally brunette and in the past couple of years I have experimented a lot with different hair colours as a result my hair became very dry and dull and I basically cut off all the blonde dry and damaged coloured hair leaving behind a slight brown ombre so my hair is darker on the top (natural colour) and a shade lighter at the bottom. So when rubybox chose me to review the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Range I was excited to give it a try and to also try and get my hair a bit evened out.
Both the shampoo and conditioner has a beautiful cocoa scent which translates to your hair leaving it smelling amazing until your next wash. The shampoo and conditioner are both formulated with cocoa and evening primrose oil.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Shampoo
The Shampoo comes in a 250ml tube, the shampoo itself is a dark glossy brown with different bronzey shimmery tones. The shampoo creates deeper, richer and more lustrous colour as you cleanse which I have noticed. It foams up beautifully, cleanses throughly and leaves my hair with deeper brunette tones.
For an extra boost of deep tones you can follow with the colour deepening treatment which gives the hair a surge of deeper, darker colour in just one use.
After my first try of the shampoo and conditioner I noticed the deeper brunette. The second time I used the shampoo and conditioner I decided to add the colour deepening treatment on the bottom part of my hair to even out the brown. The treatment is used after shampooing and kept on for 5 minutes or longer for a much more deeper result and then rinsed off and condition as normal. Below is a picture after one use of the treatment:
Most shampoos leave my hair feeling dry and stiff after rinsing but I did not experience that with the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo, instead my hair felt soft.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Conditioner
Like the shampoo the conditioner comes in a 250ml brown tube. The conditioner itself has a slightly lighter brown tone than the shampoo and feels thick and creamy. It intensifies deep, rich lustrous tones while you hydrate. The conditioner is used the same way as any other conditioner after shampooing and it enhances dark tones. If your hair gets oily and greasy very quickly then I suggest using the conditioner only on the ends rather than the scalp this helps hair stay fresher and less oily for longer.
All three product’s are safe for use on natural or coloured treated hair and for use on highlight and lowlights.
I’m seriously loving this range and would like to try more John Frieda product’s. My hair is a much richer brunette tone, healthier looking, shiny and feels amazingly soft and smooth. The deeper brown looks very natural and this range leaves my hair smelling amazing even Moe noticed and had told me how amazing my hair is looking and smelling (that’s kinda big, guys hardly notice change☺). I find myself loving my hair more.
