The Dermalogica Phyto Replenish oil was one of the very first press drop’s that I recieved this year. I have never used any Dermalogica product’s before but I have always heard great things about their product’s and how amazing it is for people like myself who struggle with eczema. I could not wait to try out the Phyto Replenish oil, as soon as I recieved it I immediately read all the instructions and benefits of the oil and it sounded just like what my skin need’s.
The Dermalogica Phyto Replenish oil is a feather-light facial treatment oil which helps to reinforce the skin’s protective barrier, which is exactly what my skin needs to help prevent eczema flare ups. Next-generation formula takes three phase approach to replenishing protective lipids that are depleted by ageing and environmental stress.
1 Strengthens: Phytoactives from Camellia and Tamanu oils help restore the skin’s natural barrier.
2 Hydrates: Essential lipid blend that includes Orchid Flower and Chia Seed Oil smoothes visible lines and locks in critical moisture.
3 Shields: Sunflower, Rice Bran and Rosemary Extracts create a luminous antioxidant shield against free radical damage.
This oil is ideal for daily use on normal to dry skin it has no artificial fragrances, colours or parabens which makes it perfect to use on sensitive skin.
The oil is in a 30ml bottle which comes in a box with an instruction leaflet. The combination of oil’s smell so amazing.
The oil is applied after cleansing, 4-6 drop’s is all that is needed, drop the oil into your palm or mix with your Dermalogica moisturiser. The instruction booklet has step by step instruction’s on a massage technique which helps promote the absorption of the Phyto Replenish Oil to boost skin circulation and detoxification, further smooth fine lines and alleviate muscle tension (I’m constantly tensing my face and this technique really helps to relax my face). The result is instant dewy and vibrant looking skin.
The oil is applied onto the forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and neck. Below is the four step massage technique which has to be repeated three times:
The oil is clear in colour, I like to apply it every night as it is quite hydrating a bit too hydrating for during the day as a result I wake up to beautiful healthy luminous skin. It is an oil so it is quite oily once applied but not pore clogging and takes a few minutes to be thoroughly absorbed. Using the massage technique really helps with faster absorption. Once the oil is absorbed after a few minutes I then apply on my night time moisturiser. In the morning my skin feels softer and has a more dewy healthy look.
Have you tried any facial oils? If so which one? If not, is it something that you would add to your daily beauty routine? ☺
