Rimmel Scandal’Eyes Reloaded Mascara and Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s

Hi my fellow gorgeous secret agents! Today I’ll be sharing Rimmel’s top secret weapon’s with you so you can always look super-stylish when on those top secret mission’s 😉. Find out more about the Rimmel Scandal’Eyes Reloaded mascara and Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s, make-up that won’t budge when you’re under stress.

I really like Rimmel product’s they always have eye catching make-up and the quality is excellent. Firstly I have to tell you about the press drop which I thought was the most creative that I have recieved, I recieved an orange London flag Rimmel case, I’m sure you have all seen the advert on t.v where Cara Delevingne is a secret agent running away from spy forces in London and her mascara doesn’t smudge throughout her whole ordeal (her brows though, absolutely everything!) Ok back to the press drop.. The case looks like one of those secret agent cases that you see in the movies and contains all nine Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s, Scandal’Eyes reloaded mascara which Cara advertises for and a Rimmel crown flash drive. Thanks Rimmel l absolutely love the creativity ☺.

Rimmel Scandal’Eyes Reloaded Mascara

As soon as the mascara released in SA I got my hands on it and have been using it almost every single day it gives my lashes volume without clumping and lasts the entire day without smudging and does not feel heavy on my eyes. It is really the perfect everyday mascara and gives your lashes amazing natural looking volume.

The bright orange packaging with the gunmetal silver writing is very eye-catching. The mascara wand is thick to give lashes volume and thinner towards the tip so that you can get to those tiny lashes on the inner corner of your eyes. The new lash-plumping formula with collegen and keratin supposedly gives lashes up to 11 times more volume, it does give my lashes volume but I wouldn’t say extreme volume as you can see by the picture below:

Although the mascara has extreme wear and is sweat-proof, smudge-proof and humidity-proof for up to 24 hours it is easy to remove with warm water or best with eye make-up remover.

The Scandal’Eyes Reloaded mascara is available in black and the recommended retail price is R139.95.

Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s

Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s are available in nine colours ranging from bronze to blacks and three different finishes. One is a matte finish (014 Black Fender), there are two glittery eyeshadow’s (005 Superstar Sparkle and 015 Show Off) and the rest have a shimmer finish. The eyeshadow’s are all crease-proof, waterproof and long-lasting making it ideal to wear on those hot summer days.

I have created three different look’s with the mono eyeshadow’s and paired them with the Scandal’Eyes Reloaded mascara. Below I will tell you how you too can create these look’s and what product’s I have used for each look and I will also tell you my thoughts on each of the eyeshadow’s:

1. Summer Bronze Look

I first created a perfect summer bronze look using all the golden and brown shades which are:

002 Millionaire– this is a medium brown shade with a slight golden shimmer, it is smooth in texture, blendable but not very pigmented.

I used this colour first on the crease of my lids.

004 VIP Pass– This is one of my favourite’s, it is a dark golden bronze shade that has golden sparkles/shimmer. It has a soft texture, very pigmented, easy to blend and the colour is buildable to create an intense smokey eye.

I used this shade on the outer crease of my eye and blended it inwards. I also applied this shade to the outer lower lash line.

001 Gold Record– this gold shimmery eyeshadow is one of my favourite colours. It has a smooth texture, blendable and the colour is definetly buildable. I also applied this onto the inner lower lash line and blended it in the middle with the previous shade.

I packed this shade onto my lids using my finger tip for a more intense golden look and then blended it to the inner corner of my eyes.

I used Scandal’Eyes thick & thin eyeliner to create a subtle winged eye and lastly to I applied Rimmel ’56 Boho Nude’ lipstick to my lips to finish off the bronze summer look.

2. Rose Quartz & Serenity Look

My second look is more pastel keeping with last year’s Pantone colours of the year trend. The shade’s I used to create this look are:

006 Poser– this is my absolute favourite colour it’s a pastel pink with the most stunning golden shimmer, the picture’s really don’t do justice to this shade. Like the previous eyeshadow’s this is soft in texture. I find that if I add too much of this shade to try and build up the colour it tends to become more powdery with a lot of fall out and not very blendable which is abit of a disappointment none the less I still love this shade it’s magical.

I applied this shade onto my eyelids as you can see in the picture’s it did not blend well and looked abit patchy. I also applied it to the inner lower lash line to the middle.

008 Crowd Surfer– this is a baby blue shade with silver shimmer. It is soft in texture, but not as pigmented as I would have liked it to be, it has a silver/white undertone and when I try to build up the colour is shows more silvery than blue.

I applied this colour to the outer corner of my eyes and crease to create a smokey look. This colour was not very blendable. I also applied it to the outer lash line and blended it in the middle.

005 Superstar Sparkle– this is a silver very pale pink shade with a chunky glitter finish. I experienced a lot of fall out with this one, it wasn’t very pigmented or blendable and the chunky glitter irritated my eyes. This is my least favourite shade out of all the eyeshadow’s. There wasn’t much of a colour when applied it was more silver glitter.

I applied this shade to the inner corner of my eyes and the brow bone for highlight.

3. Black & White Look

Lastly I created a dark bold cut-crease look with the last three Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s which are:

012 Q-Jump– this is a white very shimmery shade it almost looks silver on the lid. It is smooth, easy to blend and the colour is buildable. This is the perfect colour to use as a base to intensify the colour of any eyeshadow and it is the perfect shade to use to highlight the inner corner of the eyes and the brow.

I packed this shade onto my lids and blended it to the inner corner of the eyes. I also applied it to the bottom lash line from the inner corner of my eyes to the middle.

014 Black Fender– This is the only mono eyeshadow that has a matte finish. It is a dark black shade which is very pigmented, buildable and blendable. This is also one of my favourite colour’s which is so versatile it can be used to create an intense smokey eye, it can be used as an eyeliner when applied with a wet brush and lastly is can be used to set any liquid eyeliner.

I applied this shade to the crease of my eye almost to the top and blended it out to the sides to create a winged look. I also applied this shade to the outside lower lash line blending it with the previous shade at the middle.

015 Show Off– This is a grey charcoal colour and has a glitter finish. This shade and ‘005 Superstar Sparkle’ has more of a grainy texture compared to the others as these two shade’s have more chunky glitter compared to the shimmery shade’s which have very fine glitter. The colour is buildable but not very blendable, the glitter blends out more than the colour itself.

I used this over the previous shade to give it a more glittery finish and I used Scandal’Eyes thick & thin eyeliner for the winged eye. I completed the entire look with Rimmel ’51 Muse Red’ lipstick.

For all the look’s that I created I used Rimmel ‘010 Warm Honey’ powder on my face, Rimmel Brow This Way brow kit ‘003 Dark Brown’ on my brows and Rimmel ‘120 Pink Rose’ blush on my cheeks.

The Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s are easy to remove with warm water. I love the black and silver sleek packaging and I really like that they are mono eyeshadow’s so you don’t have to commit to a palette with only a few shade’s that you will use atleast with the mono eyeshadow’s you can pick and choose the colours that you like and will use often.

The Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow’s retail for R79.95 each. You can create any look with the nine available shade’s.

All Rimmel products are available at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem, Foschini, Edgars, The Hub, Pick n Pay stores and pharmacies nationwide.
