I have been using Nivea skincare products for over a month now, I have never tried the Nivea facial range before and was excited to give it a try but also a little scared hoping that my eczema would not flare up. A month ago my skin was looking terrible I was breaking out a lot and getting rashes everywhere on face so I took a break from make-up and started using the Nivea sensitive range which I recieved.
All the Nivea skincare products that I received are enriched with Almond Oil and Hydra IQ, the night cream is the only one that does not contain Almond Oil but it is enriched with vitamin E. The Almond Oil and Hydra IQ helps soothe and moisturise dry and sensitive skin.
Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash- Dry and Sensitive Skin
This Nivea face wash is created for sensitive skin so it does not foam as foam washes are a bit harsh on sensitive skin, cleansing creams are a lot more gentle. Even though I prefer using a foaming face wash as I feel like it’s cleaning my face I absolutely love this Nivea cleansing cream wash. It has a soft creamy texture and contains micro beads for a very mild exfoliation it also has a slight pleasant scent so this got me a little nervous like I mentioned in previous posts, I can not use harsh scented products on my skin. But to my surprise it was not harsh at all it was very gentle on my skin and the scent did not irritate my skin so there were no flare ups. I’m really enjoying this cleansing cream it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised and really cleanses my skin I can tell as there is hardly any residue left behind on the cotton pad after toning.
Nivea Daily Essentials Soothing Toner- Dry and Sensitive Skin
The Nivea toner has a slight pleasant scent just like the cream wash, it gently tones my skin and removes any residue which was not completely removed from cleansing. I found that it left my skin feeling a little dry afterwards but without the tightness, because it contains almond oil and Hydra IQ it is not suppose to dry out the skin but rather keep its natural moisture balance.
Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream- Dry and Sensitive Skin
I quite like this day cream as it is very moisturising, it has a slight thick creamy texture but does not leave my skin feeling oily and does not leave it feeling dry throughout the day. It really provides intensive moisture throughout the day due to the formulation with Almond Oil which together with Hydra IQ and SPF 15 helps supports the skins natural balance and helps protect it from sunlight induced environmental influences and premature ageing. I like to apply extra sunscreen with a higher SPF over all my day moisturises just to give my skin that extra protection against the harmful rays of the sun. This cream leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised all day.
Nivea Essentials Regenerating Night Cream- Normal and Combination Skin
Although the night cream is not for sensitive skin it is really gentle on my skin and is my favourite from all the Nivea products I just mentioned. It has a nice thick creamy texture, it feels so soft and easily spreads. It is very moisturising but does not leave my skin feeling oily even in the morning my skin still feels smooth and soft without any oiliness or drying. The night cream is enriched with Vitamin E and Hydra IQ which provides deep moisture and regeneration for fresh feeling skin. It supports the skins regenerating process at night thanks to the Pro-vitamin B5 formula and the Vitamin E provides a smooth and fresh skin feeling in the morning.
Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-wrinkle Energy Eye Roll-on
I did not receive the eye cream in the press drop but recently decided to add it to my Nivea skincare routine as I have been so impressed with the products.
According to the package the eye cream boosts tired and dull skin, reduces wrinkles and visibly decreases puffiness and signs of fatigue. The Q10 and Creatine in the eye cream are powerful actives that are naturally found in young skin and with age the Q10 and creatine levels decrease which leaves the skin with less energy to regenerate. Over time the skin becomes more prone to wrinkles and other signs of ageing but with regular use of the eye roll-on it will help increase the skins own Q10 and creatine levels which fights wrinkles from within, reduces their appearance and helps prevent new ones.
I have only been using the eye cream for a couple days now but I’m really enjoying it, it has a massage roller tip which refreshes the skin around my eyes and has a pleasant cooling effect. I really like that the cream is fast absorbing and I can see a little change around my eye area as it is less darker and less puffy.
“Nivea uses ingredients inspired by nature to create high performance products that work in perfect harmony with your skin- to help you look and feel your most beautiful” and it really has a made me feel beautiful as my skin feels silky soft and smooth and is now clear compared to when I just started using the products. I think that it helped with the breakouts and flare ups because it is so gentle on my skin and helped soothed it allowing my skin to heal.
I am very impressed with the Nivea skincare range and would definitely purchase it. The price tag is not so bad too given that the quality is excellent. I still have a lot of product left from over a months use, (1/2 tube of cream wash, 1/2 a bottle of the toner, 1/2 tube of the day cream and over half a tub of the night cream) the products really last a long time as you only use a small amount which goes a long way.
